The service was great. After we were sat our waitress warned us a reserved party of 50 was just arriving and nicely encouraged us to order before the kitchen got a bit jammed up. We weren't quite ready so she offered to give us a heads up when they would be ready to prevent us waiting a long period. Jackie was great.
The food came out fast, the tuna burger was great. -

A decent place to try out when in the area with prompt and friendly service. Had the pizza & wings special. Nothing remarkable tho, the wings were good but the pizza was barely acceptable and we prefer the wings with some batter. It was an alright food experience, better if we were drunk I'm sure, but there was a slight disconnect between prices and food quality.

an okay sports bar in downtown hamilton. numerous TVs, clean interior, plenty of seating. our waitress was polite and attentive.
so anchor bar created buffalo wings, huh? they're pretty decent here - good crispness and tasty sauce flavour - it's just that i've had better wings elsewhere. original doesn't necessarily mean the best. the single serving costing ~$15 is also an issue. i guess if you end up here with the purpose of watching sports, then the wings are kinda worth it, but i'm sure there are other places that are easier on the wallet.
ultimately, i wouldn't mind coming back here, but i'll be looking for more affordable options first -

The visit was going great. We noticed on the menu that on Sundays those 55+ get a big 25% discount and we thought this is getting even better!
Got our drinks. We ordered a couple of appetizers (usually probably would get one) to share among the three of us. Life is good.
The entrees arrive and we're munching through and our friend who arrive slightly ahead of us told us of her experience moments earlier. She had asked for a table for three but effectively got refused as we hadn't arrived yet. Grudgingly they thought to offer a table for two and shift once we arrived, that was soundly rejected by our friend.
So we get to the end of the meal and ask for our bills and remind the server that we qualify for the discount so as to not have to send her back to do the corrections. At that point, although we talked about it when ordering in her presence, she tells us that no discounts as there is a performance in the nearby venue. We are disappointed as were the folks at the next table. We aren't blaming the server as much as the menu is totally misleading as no qualification was printed about this. The place wasn't full and there was always an available table.
So we left very disappointed in so many ways. Our friend was let down at the start by failing to seat her as she requested and then not telling us about no seniors discount even though it would only apply on a Sunday! -

Been there a few times, it's normally our go to dinner place before a movie at Landmark. Won't go back. We were upcharged on everything from requesting medium sauce on the chicken tenders to blue cheese dip to go with the wings. We'd never had that issue in the past. Nor is it indicated anywhere.
It was a Sunday & on the menu it states all menu items 15% off in Sunday's...bonus we thought. Until we got the bill. It wasn't reflective of the discount. When we enquirer the waitress said "oh, we normally only apply the discount if the customer asks for it, as it's too much work to calculate. WTF?
Nowhere on the menu did it say the discount had to be requested. So we requested our bill to be adjusted, nope, they couldn't do it. So we requested our transaction to be cancelled and re-rung, nope, thy couldn't do that either. In the end, we settled for a cash refund of the 15% discount. It was quite obvious, the waitress was hoping we'd just let it go. But the whole thing from the upcharging to the refusal to apply an advertised discount is just dishonest. Won't be back & I'd advise anyone to visit a different location. Foods good, but this location is downright shady.
